Established in 1986, AST Press has published a series of important titles for the military history book reader or collector interested in the vital periods of the Plains Indian Wars and the Civil War. We also provide the production and editorial services for the annual magazine, Greasy Grass, published by the Custer Battlefield Historical &  Museum Association. Our titles have especially focused on events connected with the Great Sioux War of 1876, particularly the legendary Battle of Little Bighorn of 1876 and the man most identified with that engagement, Lt.
